CAN

French to English Law/Patents Law (general) passport from Haiti
This is a field on the data or bio page of a Haitian passport issued this year. There are things you would expect: date of birth, nationality, height. And then right next to "Sex," there's "CAN." In this field there is a six-digit number. I've translated bio pages like this before, but there was no "CAN." Images on Google sometimes show the "CAN", sometimes not. I would appreciate any insights. Thank you!

ChatGPT is no more than an elaborate glossary - to be handled with A LOT of caution, to be trusted even less than a web search done without any critical filtering / subject knowledge.

You can teach AI pretty well to recognise patterns in pictures and sounds, but to expect AI to really understand a text is extremely foolish.

The problem with ChatGPT is that if it doesn't know, it makes stuff up. I don't see how a "convention d'application nationale" would be valid internationally.
