Analysis of the GA lesion junctional zone (±250 μm from the lesion border) at Month 24 revealed a trend for a reduction in the number of microperimetry stimulus loci converting to scotomatous in the PM and PEOM groups compared to the sham pooled group (9.5% PM; 15.9% in PEOM).Treatment with PM and PEOM also corresponded to a 34% (Hazard Ratio (95% CI): 0.66 (0.46 to 0.96)) and 36% (Hazard Ratio (95% CI): 0.64 (0.45 to 0.92)) reduction in the risk of conversion of all 4 central microperimetry stimulus loci to scotomatous compared to the sham-pooled treatment group.
