It would seem the sample shares are the same concept as consituent shares and the term consituent shares seemed to ring more bells with some English speakers I asked than sample shares or stocks. At some stage I will put a list of my dictionary colection on my page so that if you are searching for something and can't find it and it happens to to be in a field I have dictionaries for, I might be another possible solution. David, Go to Google and copy \"a representative sample of stocks that make up the Index\" and do a search. You will find many stock index use the above phrase to refer to the 样本股 in their description. As there are many pages of different index, it is impractical for me to copy individual links here. Just browsing the hits and see if this is what you want. Bin
