Birth certificate was (probably still is) issued by hospital where the baby was delivered. Explanation: Birth certificate was issued by hospital where the baby was delivered. In China, birth certificate was usually issued by the hospitals where the baby was delivered (I think it is still the case but have not verified that personally). Parents then take that to a local government office to add the baby to their family residence registration record (usually a small book called 户口薄, Hu4 kou3 bu4 or 户口本,Hu4 kou3 ben3). |

notary certificate Explanation: As far as I know, in Mainland China it is usual way to establish identity of a citizens in their contacts with the third party ( school, company etc). And one can have as many notarized acts of birth (schooling, working experiences and no records of criminal offences etc), as he likes. Above-mentioned notary acts are issued by the public notary office on presenting all necessary supporting documents. |

in US. they are commonly known as: Public Notary Explanation: in US, to issue an birth certificate you usually need the Birth Certificate from any hospitalthat your are delivered. Should you lack of all the documents and any circumstancial documents, the final resort is: to take the oath in front of any registered Public Notary. And each of them needs to register with local government. To my knowledge, almost all lawyer, officer of bank officer, can exercise as Public Notary since they all have a stamp as to: who is the issuing agency, the ID number..etc. But do keep in mind, it is fairly easy to get that certificate. |
