Czech term
supermarket logistiky
Czech to English
Tech/Engineering
Transport / Transportation / Shipping
Automotive
V rámci dalšího stupně zkvalitnění přípravy dílů pro výrobní procesy byl v roce 2014 o X % zvýšen podíl „Pick by systémů“ v supermarketech logistiky.
Is this really what it seems to say - 'logistic supermarkets'? Could it be 'logistic warehouses' in the context?
Obviously searching 'logisitic(s)' and 'supermarket' brings up resuilts for 'supermarket logistics'

the syntax is strained, but logistiky could be read as the instrumental case, plural form of logistik, a logistician or logistics expert, ie by the logistics experts.
Turning it round to get rid of the passive construction: logistics experts raised ... by X% in 2014..., or something like that.

Note from asker:
Thanks for your input. I agree that the syntax is awful, but I talked to someone familiar with logistics, who said this is relative normal 'logistics-speak' and is quite literal in the context. Basically they have these 'supermarkets', which are basically 'warehouses' run by a logistics department, hence 'logistic supermarket' or 'logistic warehouse'. |
