The vacuum table is an accessory for perfectly flat positioning of all kinds of documents with paper that is wavy, crushed, folded or rolled. It covers every format up to A0 /E and has a usable surface of 840 x 1180 mm. It consists of a honeycombed plate and two vacuum arms linked to two turbines. These can placed at a distance of 5 meters from one another and positioned in a close and isolated room, to minimize noise disturbance to the operator.

Quindi sembrerebbe essere un piano di scansione con sistema di aspirazione per far aderire perfettamente dei documenti al piano stesso. Sul tavolo può essere poi montato uno scanner specifico.
Non è proprio la stessa cosa, ma, a titolo di riferimento in italiano:

220 V - is no longer the standard (for 10 years now) voltage in Europe - it is 230V (see IEC/EN 60038)
