Imagine a stream of particles moving around my ring of niobium metal. I want to know each particle’s momentum, but I can’t measure it directly, as that would affect the result. So I first “pre-select” a particular state for the particles. This is like applying a filter. I’m going to choose to deal only with particles that are moving clockwise around the ring. Next I perform a series of weak measurements on each of the particles, gently probing the property I am interested in – the momentum – without disturbing them. The final act is to make a strong measurement on each of the particles. Then I look at the state each one is now in. Is it still travelling clockwise, or has it been so disturbed by the final measurement that it is now travelling anticlockwise?

Nel caso l'informazione potesse esserti utile: queste sono cose di base in un corso di fisica (l'esame di meccanica quantistica credo sia obbligatorio praticamente ovunque), perciò se decidi di chiedere una consulenza ti basta un qualunque fisico non te ne serve per forza uno specializzato in fisica delle particelle.

mi sembri un po' incasinata, Bene, se una domanda l'hai chiusa inavvertitamente la puoi tranquillamente riaprire (c'è il comando apposito). In quanto al "far capire".... be', se qualcuno ci ricapita magari ti dà una rispota, altrimenti devi in effetti trovare fonti esterne ;) Ciauz!

at a time l'h postata anche in madrelingua, e in nessuno dei due ho risolto... in realtà avrei bisogno di un fisico delle particelle. Come faccio a fare capire che la domanda è ancora aperta e nn ho trovato soluzione? oltretutto forse l'ho chiusa come errant question

Altra domanda Ciao Benedetta, se nella tua nota ti riferisci all'altra domanda (quella su "at a time"), non è vero che le risposte pervenute non sono di madrelingua, ma anzi, una delle due risposte è di una collega che è anche bilingue. Non so, poi a quale lingua ti riferisci riguardo ai madrelingua, se cioè inglese o italiano. Comunque, se intendi dire che non sei soddisfatta e intendi ripresentare quella domanda, scusami se non l'ho capito: ero convinto che si trattasse di una ripetizione involontaria della stessa domanda.

Non mi intendo di fisica, ma l'accelerazione è qualcosa di diverso, e anche in inglese corrisponde ad "acceleration". Infatti, la quantità di moto è il prodotto della massa per la velocità di un oggetto, mentre l'accelerazione è la variazione della velocità nell'unità di tempo.
