English term or phrase: Support for XXXX accreditation
Dear fellow translators, hello!

I am proofreading a document related to medical imaging software and this document includes a bullet point list of certain specific features provided by that particular software.

One of the bullet points reads: "Support for XXX accreditation" (with XXX being the name of the accreditation in question).

The author means that the software advertised in the document enables a medical practice to obtain said accreditation. Does this seem clear to you? Any suggestions as to rephrasing if necessary?

Thanks!

Selected answer:basically means...
Explanation:
I read it that it's easier to get xxx accreditation BY HAVING this software in place, NOT that the software is going to provide the accreditation.

So "support" in the sense of helps, bolsters or boosts, underpins (any attempt to be awarded accreditation)

"The author means that the software advertised in the document enables a medical practice to obtain said accreditation. Does this seem clear to you"
-----------Yes, I think it's clear

Are the other bullet point features all clear and with the same meaning?

IF so , you could rephrase at the start by saying

"XXX accreditation is facilitated by having this software in place OR "By having this software in place XXX accreditation will be easier to attain" OR "It will be easier to attain XXX accreditation by having this software in place"

And then list the "specific features" that enable this [bullet points]

But I think it's OK . Is this a translation or written in English?

agree  Daryo: this software is of the type/specs required if you want to apply for this XXX accreditation // I'm slightly puzzled why an in-house translator would need any external help while (presumably?) knowing his/her own company inside out?

agree  Tony M: Yes, this is the sense of 'support' often used in IT.
