Leg measurements
I have a table with leg measurements for the right and left lower limbs:
Jambe (20cm de la rotule) - 36cm
Bi-malléolaire - 24cm
Etrier - 23cm
(the measurements are the same for both the right and left lower limbs).
This is in a report about a foot injury.
The only reference I can find to étrier relates to the stapes bone in the ear, but I don't see how this could be relevant to my foot injury. Can étrier mean something else?

The patient lost their big toe on one foot and the report is to establish the severity of the injury and its impact. The table just says "measurements of the lower limbs" and doesn't really provide any more detail. The report also talks about loss of movement in the one foot and other damage to the nerves etc.
Apart from the stirrup muscles that Rachel pointed out, I could only find these:-
If the person is mobile, it could be something like this stirrup on the bottom of a support that takes the pressure off of the foot while it heals.
