non me l'aspettavo ma ho trovato centinaia di siti e ricette di gelato al formaggio (anche di capra).
Le ricette utilizzano soprattutto formaggi cremosi; ho trovato un solo sito nel quale si menziona il mascarpone (Anusca ha ragione) in relazione al gelato e viene per l'appunto chiamato fromage blanc italien:

Explanation:
Confesso di non aver mai sentito parlare del gelato al formaggio ne tanto meno di averlo assaggiato. Effettivamente potrebbe trattarsi del Tiramisù altrimenti conosciuto come dolce al mascarpone.
