Ancrée en amont et en aval, elles sont posées sur 3 appuis glissant non graissés et comportent un joint permettant de reprendre la dilatation. Ces derniers sont étanchés par deux tresses en chanvre suiffé côté eau, une corde synthétique au milieu et une tresse en chanvre suiffé côté air.
La conduite est équipée d’un système de protection de survitesse d’eau actionnant la fermeture automatique de la vanne en cas de rupture de la conduite forcée. De type Pitot et fonctionnant selon le principe de balance manométrique.
