Where to start, I'm a Dutch national, who's been living and working in the Brazilian capital for the last decade. In the past ten years I have had several odd jobs. I've worked as a freelance translator at both the BRICS summits here in Brazil, worked two years for the Indian embassy, before finally ending up as a language teacher in 2011. I've worked at several of the bigger companies in the field here in Brazil, like Wizard, WiseUp, Park Idiomas and Uptime. At this last one I worked as pedagogic coordinator up to May 2014, when I finally gathered enough courage to start my own company. This last year I have been teaching English and Dutch, translating between English, Dutch and (Brazilian) Portuguese and interpreting at international events.
I'm hard working and always committed to deadlines set by my clients, who, so far have been nothing but positive over the translations received. I'm new to proz.com which I hope won't be a deterrent for new clients and can offer samples of my work to those that request it. (not posting any samples online, I have neither asked nor received permission from my clients to do so) |
