Source text - English The example in Figure 4.5, uses the Fitness.jmp (SAS Institute 1987) data table in the Sample Data folder. The data are results of an aerobic fitness study. The Oxy variable is a continuous response (dependent) variable. The variables RunTime, RunPulse, and RstPulse that show in the Construct Model Effects list are continuous effects (also called regressors, factors, or independent variables). The popup menu at the upper-right of the dialog shows Standard Least Squares, which defines the fitting method or fitting personality. The various fitting personalities are described later in this chapter. This standard least squares example, with a single continuous Y variable and several continuous X variables, specifies a multiple regression. After a model is defined in the Model Specification dialog, click Run Model to perform the analysis and generate a report window with the appropriate tables and supporting graphics. A standard least squares analysis such as this multiple regression begins by showing you the Summary of Fit table, the Parameter Estimates table, and the Effect Tests table. If you want, you can open additional tables and plots, such as those shown in Figure 4.6, to see details of the analysis. Or, if a screening or response surface analysis seems more appropriate, you can choose commands from the Effect Screening and Factor Profiling menus at the top of the report.

Translation - English Toward development of a training program for elementary school teachers to improve their ability in Arts education I: Research on teachers’ burden to teach in Arts and Crafts classes
(28 words)
Arts and crafts classes are mandatory in elementary schools in Japan, but very few teachers have background in arts education. To concretely grasp teachers’ burden in Arts and Crafts classes at elementary schools, first, we interviewed with 20 teachers to develop a survey. Second, we conducted the survey for 89 teachers (average years of teaching 12.1 years, SD 10.95 years, range 1-37 years ). Results showed that teachers with shorter teaching experience tended to have more and stronger burdens in the class. They also wanted to learn wider varieties of art supplies and techniques. Overall, the teachers frequently stated that they wanted to learn more about how to use art supplies, how to teach expression techniques, and how to grade a student in Arts and Crafts class. Especially, they often wondered how to evaluate student’s artwork.
