I'm an Arabic native (Egyptian), a dialect understood my most Arabic nationalities, but I mainly interpret in Modern standard Arabic, which is the official Arabic taught in schools, used in official television and paperwork, throughout the Arab world. Also, having lived in the gulf area, in an international setting, I can understand many dialects to a good extent. I have a C2 level proficiency in English with an IELTs score of 8.5. In addition to general interpretation, I am also a medical interpreter and have been freelancing as a medical /social interpreter. As to my medical background, I graduated from the faculty of pharmacy, continued to get my Master’s degree in Biotechnology and I am currently studying for a PhD in Immunology and Allergy. Moreover, I received 40 hours of theoretical and practical training on medical interpretation including medical terminology and procedures. I’m HIPPA compliant and strive to ensure effective communication across languages and utilize active listening skills to convey meaning and context. I also understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of records and information.
