Italian: 扬眉剑出鞘 General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - Italian 欲悲闻鬼叫,我哭豺狼笑。洒泪祭雄杰,扬眉剑出销。
Translation - Italian Avvolto dalla tristezza, odo fantasmi ululare,
piango, sento lupi e sciacalli sghignazzare.
Verso lacrime, onore all’impavido eroe
levo lo sguardo e vedo le spade svanire.
Italian: Liar, liar, liar General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - Italian It wasn’t Principal Garraway; she’d been nothing but warm and welcoming. It was me—and the paranoia that had lived inside me since that night. The whole point of getting out of Montecito was to avoid people from ever finding out the truth. No one except Mac knew us here, and even he thought we’d relocated for a fresh start after my ‘fake’ illness. Dad had wanted to go the whole hog and buy us new identities, but I didn’t want to become Marissa or Jessica or Amy. I’d already lost too much of myself to lose my name as well.

Bio
Hi everyone, I'm Martina, an Italian translator!
I love literature, reading comics and books, playing video games and board games, and watching TV series. As a nerd, I would like to transform my passion into my work, so working with localization and subtitling could be the best!
As for my experience in the sector, it is mainly based on the academic sector as I obtained a three-year degree in "Languages and literatures - intercultural studies", from the University of Palermo and a Master's degree in Translation, at the same university, specializing in Chinese English.
During my academic career, I studied the theoretical part of Translation studies in the literary sector and English subtitling; I have done the practice through academic projects and also gained knowledge of several different software like CAT tools, machine translation, and subtitling software. I developed my master's thesis on intermediate translation applied to literature, i.e. the use of a bridge language between the source text and the target text, and a translation proposal on some pieces of a Chinese novel.
