Toda faceira e cheirosa, Tatiana entrou em minha sala de nariz erguido, chacoalhando os cabelos castanhos da mesma cor dos olhos gigantes e curiosos. Lembro também dos brincos de coração e das meias listradas de rosa e azul que saíam dos seus sapatos de boneca. Eu, que não sou bobo nem nada, vi que surgia ali uma forte candidata a rainha da primavera. Ou melhor, queria Tatiana como primeira-dama quando eu fosse presidente. Culture, although entails too much meanings in itself, is a way of life. Yet culture is not biologically inherited but rather the outcome of people’s creativity which is based on ideas, values and common sharing. Because each portion of every country has its own traditions and values, every culture has distinct characteristics that make it different from one another. Likewise, when one is in a different community, he cannot expect to be at home unless he learns and adopts their own social customs. Hotel is the best place to find the particular places’ culture and history. Each hotel in different regions has distinctive architecture and interiors that incorporates its region’s culture. By combining conventional hotel services with elements from cultural heritage, hotels provide guests with the opportunity to appreciate the history, lifestyle and arts of the local people. Then it would be interesting to pinpoint the culture within the hotel community and how they build their “own” culture. It is interesting to see how every community builds its own “culture” just as building a house. And although culture is a creation each member built by putting all the pieces together, culture in turn shapes individuals and provides them a sense of house where they can rest. . Morar no Brasil, de simples anseio a princípio, transformara-se em obsessão para Joaquim; e numa imensa fuga afetiva para Manoela, que vira: evaporar o sonho artístico, morrer o filho antes de pronunciar-lhe o parentesco e desfalecer o patrimônio. Aportaram na Guanabara em meio a lutas sindicais e suposta anistia – ou abertura, como se costumava dizer. Joaquim conheceu a inflação e investiu o pouco que lhes sobrara na agiotagem. Fez o dinheiro crescer sozinho à base de muito suor – na captura de seus devedores – e sacrifícios pessoais. A conta era simples: Joaquim convertia em dólares na ocasião do empréstimo, acrescia dez por cento e aquele tanto de moeda americana quitava a dívida no dia pré-determinado; mais dez por cento de juros de mora aos inadimplentes.
