1997-present: Freelance editor and translator, working on translation and publishing projects.
My main translation work is in the legal and business fields, especially contracts, reports, and documents for courts in France Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as European institutions (ECJ, ECJR: my translation of the ECHR judgment in Chitos v Greece was published in International Labor Rights Case Law, DOI 10.1163/24056901-00201010 . I have also handled a wide range of material, including projects for universities, local authorities and covering environmental, construction and arts projects, EU Interreg IIIA partnerships, academic articles and publicity material. Editorial work has included the Macmillan English Dictionary and the Cambridge Klett compact bilingual dictionaries.

2004: Translation Manager, Southeast Interpreting & Translation Services. I was the lead translator for all French>English work, working on texts covering many areas including administration, finance, the environment and social services. Running the translation area I was responsible for liaison with clients and translators, ensuring that instructions were conveyed clearly and carried out effectively, that deadlines were set and respected, and that the finished work met clients’ expectations. My work also involved preparing reports for clients and preparing bids for contract work, as well as copywriting for publicity materials and liaison with designers.
