Sto traducendo un gestionale e sto avendo problemi a interpretare il significato di rollback in questa frase:
There was an unexpected problem in reading the field values to rollback during the convert and commit process

Il termbase di Microsoft indica come traduzione di rollback "ripristino allo stato precedente", ma non sono certa che funzioni in questa frase. Ho guardato anche le altre domande relative al termine ma non ho trovato una risposta che mi sembri adatta al contesto. Qualche idea? Grazie mille!

Il termine rollback denota l'annullamento di alcune operazioni volte a modificare il database, quando la transazione non è andata a buon fine. In pratica quando è palese che la transazione non verrà conclusa con successo si affettua un rollback che riporta lo status del database alle condizioni precedenti l'inizio della transazione.
Credo che vada lasciato così.
