Finnish term or phrase: päätenäkö
From what I can gather "päätenäkö" refers to one's ability (or lack of ability) to see what is on a computer screen.

Does it (sometimes) have a broader meaning than this?

I ask because of the following sentence (from an optical assessment pamphlet):

"Alentunut tulos [päätenäön suhteen] tarkoittaa, että sinulla voi välillä olla hankaluuksia lukea tekstiä ja nähdä työskentelyetäisyyksille, esimerkiksi päätetyössä."

Since "päätetyö" is only given as one example of where "päätenäkö" could be relevant, this suggests that "päätenäkö" might not be restricted to reading/viewing things on a computer.

Päätenäkö täsmällisesti ottaen tarkoittaa kykyä nähdä ruudulle, ja ruutu on yleensä vähän kauempana kuin esim. kirja (lähinäkö). Se, miksi tässä mainitaan lukeminen, on varmaankin se, että työssä luetaan usein kauempaa kuin lähinäöllä, ts. paperit voivat olla näppäimistön vieressä pöydällä. Esim. päätelaseja tehtäessä yleensä näkö testataan sekä suhteessa ruutuun että suhteessa pöydällä oleviin papereihin - ja tästä kokonaisuudesta puhutaan päätenäkönä.

Explanation:
Kyllä suomisanakirjan mukaan päätetyö on nimenomaan työtä ATK-päätteellä. Siten computer vision mielestäni sopii tähän.
