point of care Explanation: The more common term in Finnish would be "vieritesti", but e.g. Orion seems to market their diagnostic tests with the word "lähitesti". It's a rapid test taken (and read) at the bedside, instead of the laboratory, hence the "point of care" or POC. However, the "P" (plasma) in the beginning of the test (P- TT-INTRL) would indicate a blood sample, so it could be a checking of a POC test result in a laboratory or sloppy documentation by the doctor, or then the system only allows this kind of test to be documented, hence the "lähi" at the end. |
