When I try to use Dragon today, instead of transcribing what I dictate, it open the MS Word help window instead and freezes up. I can't find out how to ask a question on their website forum and have now spent an hour trying to find an answer to this issue. Any ideas? | | | JackieMcC Local time: 04:40 French to English dictating in a complex document | Jun 12, 2012 |
Hello, I've only been using Dragon for a few months, but I have found that it does things like this when I dictate in an existing document that is either very long or has a complex layout/tables etc. Is this is the case here? It has happened when I've tried to translate in my source document, and also when I've been updating an existing translation. See more Hello, I've only been using Dragon for a few months, but I have found that it does things like this when I dictate in an existing document that is either very long or has a complex layout/tables etc. Is this is the case here? It has happened when I've tried to translate in my source document, and also when I've been updating an existing translation. Instead of transcribing, Dragon has opened various windows, including the help window, or tried to process everything I dictate as orders rather than text. As Dragon works perfectly when I create a new document, the only solution I've found so far is to dictate in a separate document and then cut and paste. I wonder if anyone else has found a better solution? Jackie ▲ Collapse | | | I can´t help you... | Jun 12, 2012 |

I wasted a few hours yesterday and this morning when DNS started to behave erratically, not working with Word, giving me error messages. I finally realised that the problems had started after I installed the latest Flash Player Plugin in Firefox. I went back to a previous version and everything has been working fine since. I also know that some people had problems after installing Acrobat X. Maybe something you could look into? | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 04:40 Spanish to English + ... I'm afraid I don't have enough patience. I spent over an hour reading their FAQs and trying to find out how to post a query on their help forums before doing so here. I also called their US helpline and the person or machine that answered appeared not to hear me, although my mike is working fine. | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 04:40 Spanish to English + ... It has happened to me occasionally. Yesterday I managed to get around it by rebooting the whole PC a few times and started writing in the Skype text box, where it worked fine. Then it worked OK in Word after that, so I don't know what's happening there... but at least I'm up and running again (with a deadline for tomorrow). Thanks to everyone who offered advice and comments here, I really appreciate it | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Help with Dragon issue Anycount & Translation Office 3000 | Translation Office 3000
