Aunque la gestión de proyectos y la traducción son procesos diferentes, el uno depende del otro. La capacidad de poder entregar una buena traducción y la de gestionar un proyecto pueden llegar a ser muy diferentes. El objetivo de esta presentación es detallar la función del gerente de proyectos, para que el traductor pueda entenderla y ayudar a lograr las metas establecidas para cada proyecto.

Andrew graduated from the Tennessee Technological University Industrial Engineering program in 1998. Before working in the language service industry, he worked in the automotive industry and then as a high school physics, chemistry and calculus teacher. He was also a high school boy’s basketball coach and athletic director for five years at El Camino Academy in Bogotá, Colombia. He is the cofounder of Precision Translators Ltda., the most innovative language company in Colombia and a leading innovator in Latin America. He is also cofounder of Pantoglot LLC. The two companies were established to support each other. Pantoglot focuses on importing today’s leading language industry software, distributing that software in the America’s and providing professional software training services. Precision Translators was established as a production center focused on delivering highly sophisticated project management and language services.
