Just a quick reminder that the early bird price offer for this very popular biennal event ends on June 6. After that, discounts are only available for members of professional associations.

Since the format was first launched in 2002 (in La Rochelle), the SFT Summer School for Financial Translators (Université d'été de la traduction financière) has established itself as the premier professional event for financial translators with a particular emphasis on translations out of and into French.

As co-organizer Chris Durban (herself one of the most prominent translators in the world today) writes:

"Last week SFT received an invitation to ring the opening bell for trading on July 2, the day being "dedicated to your event" -- which is very nice of Euronext. But I'm particularly tickled by the line-up of speakers and topics...

A good point to keep in mind is that even as the line-up of seriously senior people in finance talk to *us* about their concerns and we learn from them, they are absorbing the "there are professional translators out there who take this stuff very seriously" message. Win-win. The list of participants is widely circulated by Euronext and other entities."

Confirmed presenters:
Alain Baetens, Head of Listings, Belgium — NYSE Euronext
Robin Bonthrone, Managing Partner, Fry & Bonthrone
Marion Goeusse, Burson-Marsteller
J. Paul Horne, independent international market economist
David Jemielity, CTO, Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (Suisse)
Dominique Jonkers, Jonkers & Partners
Sam Leith, auteur et journaliste (FT)
Nathalie Masset, BondMatch, Deputy Director, Euronext
Cas Sydorowitz, CEO, European Corporate Advisory, Georgeson
Tom West, Intermark Language Services
