1) You're sooo 2009, darling. Wikipedia is not blocked at the moment. 2) Baidu Baike is usable for some things, but lacks anything like the breadth and editing of Wikipedia. Baike is okay for getting infos on some very chinese content (historical, literary), or checking the background of celebrities/companies that you wouldn't necessarily find elsewhere. But it's not even close to be a chinese version of a universal knowledge project, like baidu.com is not even close to be a serious search engine. Those services are designed with very relative care for any ethics, especially when it comes to ad placements.
