... I call my computer or my laptop bæstet - the beast when I'm annoyed with it. Usually in a wail for HELP from my husband who can sometimes tame it. Otherwise it is my puter as opposed to his puter. Actually he has three and I have two, and when not in use he puts the laptops in a safe place... or so he thinks. Since the summer holiday two years ago, my flat screen has been locked to the desk with a bicycle chain and we can't find the key. ... Although if I did, it wouldn't be printable. I have on many occasions, however, promised to employ Beckham-like tactics to escort it through the window, post haste. The speed of the thing drives me to distraction.

My old laptop was called The Hairdryer. The Macbook Pro I got to replace it is called The Silver Goddess. I think you can work out the rationale for both... | |

My desktop is named for the one who gave it to me brandnew: Olly. I never thought about naming my laptop, but... one day I sorted out tons of "souvenirs" and came across a sticker I had bought years ago in Wyoming. That day I thought it a good idea to just stick it on my laptop's case. So now it's called: Cheyenne, named for the state capital of Wyoming. ... And these names/grumblings/mumblings etc. are not printable here. Especially not when my laptop crashed during a conversation with a client and only minutes after I've started that project. grrrrrrrrrrr is the only printable version of what I called my laptop. | | |
