Edurne holds an MBA and is a psychologist (licensed in Uruguay, not in the US), and held certifications in postnatal and childbirth education. Currently, she is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in Community Counseling (last course!) and has been working as a professional Healthcare Interpreter and as a specialized translator since 2005. Edurne holds a Certificate of Translation from Adelphi University and completed the Bridging the Gap training for Medical Interpreters, as well as the “Training of Trainers for the Healthcare Interpreting Profession” from the Monterey Institute of International Studies imparted by Holly Mikkelson and Katharine Allen.
