What happened with Eurodicautom???

I use it almost every day. A couple weeks ago in April they said they were making adjustments so you could experience problems. But now the http://ec.europa.eu/eurodictautom/Controller URL gives an error message. What does this mean? It won't be fixed anymore? Or they want us to migrate to IATE, which is a disaster?

IATE claims that every single word from Eurodicautom is there but it's not true. When I ask for the translation for something like "coil cord" their standard phrase is "No matching entries found", while before if Eurodicautom didn't have it, at least it would show the definition of "coil" and/or "cord" alone, or together with other expressions, giving us quite useful ideas of how to use it. IATE then is just like any other word search tool found in Internet, nothing special like Eurodicautom.

A pity if they decide not to reestablish it... ▲ Collapse

Problem only with Internet Explorer Apr 20, 2007

Try using another browser, it should work.

I've tried it with Mozilla Firefox and it's working like a dream.
