Hi all,

Unfortunately, I was cheated by a Canadian outsourcer for whom I have done several projects and paid so far.

The overdue amount is about 1000 USD and no reply from him.

Please let me know from your experience if there is any working debt collector (DC) in Canada that I can count on. Normally, do you think that it is efficient to rent a DC for such amount?

Your sharing is warmly appreciated.

Which city? Aug 17, 2010

I had a good experience with Crédit Protection E.D. Ltée in Montreal - the fee was 15% of the collected amount which I thought was quite fair.

And which outsourcer? Aug 17, 2010

Would you mind telling me in a private message? Got a bad feeling about a certain one and if it is the same, we might consider joint action.

I am in the same boat! Aug 20, 2010

Hi Wolfgang, and Smiles,

I am owed $2000 (after payment for a very complicated job that required revision was entirely CANCELLED).

I would gladly pay 15% to recover that amount.

Yes, the person does not answer either. And they definitely have offices in Vancouver.

Can they be all the same?

I would appreciate your messaging me too

I do not think we have to be so discrete though. If it is the same company, they should be named. And they are in the Blue Board anyway as people that don't pay. I was just too inexperienced -haven't worked much freelance in the last years since I always was employed full time-, and did not know that I could check.

Now I do! It won't happen again.

Good luck to you guys!
