I really appreciate the fact that I don't need to travel a thousand miles and can do this from the comfort of my home office.

I also start with taking a good look at the text. You have to. Some clients don't have a clue about what they're sending you. Even if they know, eg, that it's a technical text, or a medical text, they don't always seem to know that there are lots of sub specialisations.
