Pay pal fee, is it worth the service Apr 11, 2012

For those who use PayPal services, is the cost resonable and do you charge the client or agency for it? Is it easy to have access to your money ?

Why not, in agreement with the client Apr 24, 2012

Hi Caroline,

Upon agreement with the client, I charge a Paypal fee to balance the percentage that the system detracts you when receiving money.

I provide instructions on my invoice for how to use this paypal account. However, many people must not like Paypal for this reason, because I have not received paypal payments ever ... See more
I have struggled with this and ended up opening a second "personal" (not premier) paypal account, tied to a different bank account. This one allows receiving "personal" funds without fees. Paypal also says that payers have an option to select "personal payment" rather than payment for services. This also waives fees. I provide instructions on my invoice for how to use this paypal account. However, many people must not like Paypal for this reason, because I have not received paypal payments ever since. I have paid fees of up to $75 and think it is not worth it. Sometimes a client has paid for the fees. Other (large) businesses have told me it is just part of doing business - in which case you would charge more, which is not a good thing in our market, I believe.Collapse
