It was really a very interesting conference which provided us with sufficient data concerning SDL trados. The event was really technical and informative. It makes us aware of all details concerning Trados software. Thank so much for this fruitful event.

Time From To Content
13:42 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All i agree, but still
13:43 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All many translators do write
13:43 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All You mean "write" as in "write their own stuff"?
13:43 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All I think the idea to do x-writing stems for translators who entered the business because they originally wanted to be a writer, and that didn't work out.
13:44 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All any kind of producing text
13:44 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All nah, maybe for some
13:45 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All Sometimes that's the case, but some other times both activities may stem from a love to language, right?
13:45 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All definitely!
13:45 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All I wrote when I was younger (i have an incomplete bibliography somewhere on the net), and if people nowadays ask me whether I write, I always say "no". But I'm actually still writing, be it my own stuff on my own blogs and on all kind of media, primairily to promote my work.
13:45 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All I mean, I am a translator and a writer, but I take the two separately. For me, they are miles appart.
13:45 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All well, that's it!
13:46 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All I don't like language. I like the content you can distribute using language. That's an entirily different thing.
13:46 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All we do all kinds of things with words
13:46 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All O love both activities, but they give me different satisfactions.
13:47 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All words, words, words...thats the beauty of it. use them any way you wish
13:47 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All amen!
13:47 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All jejeje
13:47 Jun 6, 2014 Henry Dotterer: 1 All :)
13:47 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Mind you, I don't mean I hate language, I only mean language gives the possibility to convey meaning. That might be a technical manual, but it might also be a story.
13:48 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All @Peter: what kind of writing did you do in the past?
13:48 Jun 6, 2014 Lucia Leszinsky: 855539 All Just curious
13:48 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All it's ok Peter, we get you
13:48 Jun 6, 2014 Peter Motte: 30753 All Science fiction. Some fantasy. And some other things. Nowadays it's primarily non-fiction.
13:48 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All nice...
13:49 Jun 6, 2014 starlightaloud: 1624756 All love both genres
